Image quality: allow for about 150 dpi at the final poster size. For 50 × 70 cm that is roughly 3000 × 4200 pixels. For very large sizes 100 dpi is also enough, since posters are viewed from one to two metres away.

Frequently asked questions about Posters

What resolution should my photo have for a poster?

Allow for about 150 dpi at the final poster size. For 50 × 70 cm that is roughly 3000 × 4200 pixels. Because posters are usually viewed from one to two metres away, 100 dpi is also enough for very large sizes.

Matt, glossy or laminated – which poster paper is right?

Matt suits bright rooms and detailed motifs because nothing reflects. Glossy boosts colours and contrast and suits landscapes and strong motifs. Laminated is recommended if the poster will be touched or should last especially long.

How big can a poster be?

Our largest standard size is 145 × 435 cm in panorama format. Classic sizes go up to 216 × 144 cm, square ones up to 144 × 144 cm and DIN sizes up to A0. Made-to-measure posters up to 145 × 800 cm are possible in the online shop.

How much does a poster cost?

Posters start at €3.90 (20 × 30 cm). A 50 × 70 cm poster costs €12.90 matt or glossy. All prices include VAT – you will find the complete price list on this page.

Can I order a poster in the studio or only online?

Both. In the studio we advise you personally on size and paper; online you order on fotos24.net (German-language shop) at the same prices with delivery.
